It doesn't have to be just a dream, there are ways of making money online and a Google search will show just how many do. There is no doubt, that to make money online, you need a website, and you have to fulfill the needs of your target audience, so how do we find our money-making niche? Our product? Our customers? We have at our fingertips the greatest tools, fast internet connection, computer, keyword research, Google adsense, Clickbank, Affiliate marketing, Facebook, Twitter, you name it, and we all have access to it, but somehow those money making opportunities seen to slip by us, and yet other people get loads of traffic and leads, and make money, and seem to be good at it. Does this all sound familiar to you? We see paid surveys, but they all seem to be scams, where you have to pay money upfront to join, and then you will probably make a few cents for each survey you fulfill, even if you worked at those surveys 20 hours a day you couldn't make enough to live on, believe me, in moments of desperation, I have looked into it. Then you have all the hyped up "work-at-home moms" type scams, the only people making money from those are the conmen selling the idea to the desperate people who don't know any better, preying on people who are at their weakest, trying to feed the kids and get by on welfare handouts, its all wrong! There are other ways. No, I believe to make money online, you have to sell something, and find something people can't live without, or at least, you need to make it something they can't live without. Finding your niche, and staying with your choice long enough to give it a fair trial, not flitting from one niche to another, never finding out what works and what doesn't, if one ad campaign doesn't produce the goods, maybe you aren't hitting it from the right angle, try another approach before jumping on to the next thing. It does cost money People seem to think you can make a good living on the internet, but without spending any money! You do need to use a quality web-host, rent a good domain name, spend some time building a website, or use a Wordpress one, which are fantastic if you don't want to have a go yourself, and they are free, but hosting isn't. How many times have you heard "my webhost isn't free anymore, and they shut down my site", of course they will, they are paying for their hosting, and can't give it away for long. I use, and recommend Vodahost, they are not the cheapest, but they will give you a free domain, and a superb website builder that anyone can use, no code to worry about, (unless you want to) and their after-sales support service is second to none, help is always at hand. I believe that Search Engine Optimisation is a quite specialist art, and it is better to find a good SEO company to begin with, and learn as you get more experienced so that you can do it yourself. Now the killer...... You have your site.....you have a web host......hopefully by now you have decided on what you are going to sell online, so now you need TRAFFIC and lots of it! Good quality traffic is not the easiest part of your online business, but with some thought and work it will grow organically. To get a good pagerank in Google you will need to build good quality backlinks, and that is where your traffic will come from. By backlinks I am not talking about buying in backlinks, but links that you gain from writing good content on your website, quality information that provides a benefit to the reader. Google will give you a better ranking for the quality of your copy, and the amount of page views you get from providing a service to other internet users. Once you have traffic coming to your website, you will start to make money online, and become successful. It isn't an overnight thing, we have to work at it, and despite all the hype about profit while you sleep on 'AUTOPILOT', well, that just doesn't happen, only in your dreams, the dreams the 'Gurus' sell you! You get out only what you put in, but it is still better than 'working for the man' from 9 til 5. Be successful! New to having your own website?
